Terms of Use

All individuals riding on any World Tourist Attractions Ltd (WTA) Giant Observation Wheel ("The Wheel") and/or visiting its premises do so subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Tickets can be bought individually, a capsule may be hired exclusively and a VIP capsule is also available for hire. The maximum number of persons allowed per standard capsule is eight but for comfort it is recommended that a maximum of six adults travel with two children per capsule.
    1. Other than in a specially booked Private or VIP Capsule, WTA cannot guarantee that groups of people will travel in the same capsule as you may be asked to share at busy times.
    2. All tickets purchased on-line will be subject to the terms and conditions of WTA's 'third party' credit card company WorldPay who will also be responsible for any refunds.   2. VIP Ticket holders are recommended to arrive at the Wheel 10 minutes before the time shown on the booking reference.
  3. The time, date, type, or booking for a Private or VIP Capsules may not be changed except at WTA's discretion. Payments for tickets and bookings for Private or VIP Capsules are non-refundable and tickets and bookings may only be changed or replaced at the absolute discretion of WTA ltd.
  4. No food or drink may be consumed on the Wheel or on the loading station leading to the Wheel without express permission of WTA ltd.
  5. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or over) and whilst on or in the vicinity of the Wheel shall remain under the supervision of an adult at all times. A Private or VIP Capsule may only be hired by individuals aged 18 years or over unless at the absolute discretion of WTA. Children under 18 are allowed in a capsule where alcohol may be available but will not be served alcohol.
  6. Unless explicitly stated by WTA ltd, all persons riding the Wheel must pay for admission (whether a ticket or Private Capsule hire) prior to boarding the Wheel. Tickets must be retained at all times and be available for inspection if required by any employee or agent of WTA ltd. Any person attempting to gain admittance to the Wheel without a valid ticket may be ejected from the Wheel or its vicinity.
  7. WTA ltd reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to deny admittance on to or eject from the Wheel or its vicinity any person who:
    1. has been found guilty of an offence which, in the opinion of WTA ltd, is likely to affect the comfort or safety of other visitors;
    2. has behaved in a manner which, in the opinion of WTA ltd has, or is likely to affect the comfort or safety of other visitors;
    3. has used insulting and/or threatening words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace.
    4. is or appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  8. To prevent weapons or dangerous articles from being taken onto the Wheel,, visitors are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched. It is prohibited to take onto the Wheel any weapons, flammable liquids, fireworks, breakable (glass) bottles, smoke bombs, or other articles, which may cause injury. The throwing of any article which could cause injury or annoyance is prohibited.
  9. Pets or animals are expressly prohibited on the Wheel and the loading station leading to the Wheel (except for guide dogs and hearing dogs) without the express permission of WTA ltd.
  10. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the Wheel itself, and on the loading station leading to the Wheel.
  11. No ticket may be resold without the previous written consent of WTA ltd. If WTA believes that a ticket has been resold without WTA's express permission, the holder may be refused entry to or ejected from the Wheel without compensation.
  12. Unnecessary noise, (for instance from electrical equipment), or any behaviour likely to cause annoyance to other individuals or confusion of any kind is not permitted on or in the vicinity of the Wheel.
  13. WTA ltd will use its best efforts to ensure that the Wheel is open for use by visitors during normal advertised hours. However, WTA ltd reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, whether for safety reasons or otherwise, and with or without prior notice, to close the Wheel or any part of it. In the event of such closure, WTA will refund any visitor whose ride is cancelled, the cost of their prepaid ticket, but otherwise shall have no liability, including that of travel expenses or any other expenses, in respect of closure of part or all of the Wheel, or cancellation of any ride.
  14. Other than liability for death or personal injury resulting from WTA's negligence, WTA ltd, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, including without limitation any distress, inconvenience or anxiety caused during the course of any ride undertaken and/or during evacuation from the Wheel in the event of breakdown or accident.
  15. Indemnifying of third parties (e.g. National Railway Museum) against liabilities arising from Wheel and claims from visitors.
  16. From time to time WTA ltd may sell tickets as a third party agent. Any events/rides/trips/meals or anything else for which such tickets are sold by WTA ltd ("Third Party Events") shall be operated in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant operator and WTA ltd shall not be liable to any customer, for any loss or damage which arises out of or in connection with or as a consequence of the operation of any Third Party Event including, but not being limited to, loss of profit, damage to or loss of property or items belonging to the passenger and any personal injury to the passenger (but only so far as such injury is not caused by WTA's negligence).
  17. Tickets are available for purchase online through WTA's website (www.worldtouristattractions.co.uk.). For the avoidance of doubt, such tickets are available in limited quantities and each purchase will be subject to availability.
  18. Occasionally WTA ltd or other authorised parties may carry out photography and/or video recording and/or other monitoring on or in the vicinity of the Wheel, which may feature visitors. By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree that WTA ltd or any authorised party may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with WTA ltd or such authorised party.
  19. These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with English Law, and any claim brought under these conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Law.
